To help us better understand and help you with where to stay, what does that $ amount equate to per night for a hotel? We have no idea what your flight costs or where you're flying from, so we can't really help there, but if you can give us a dollar amount on the hotel, we can help with better suggestions.

Also, when you say $1500 total, is that just flight and hotel per couple, or total budget for the trip?

Figure $450-$500 pp for airfare.

As first timers you want to stay on the strip. Unfortunately, LV hotels raise their rates significantly on weekends and even more on event weekends. Expect something close to $750-$1000 per room for the week.

You can see all the CET hotels here: http://bit.ly/19f9oGV Of those avoid the Quad because the rooms haven't been updated in decades and the Rio because it is off strip.

NASCAR weekend is going to be very expensive so be prepared to pay more than normal prices.

TI is a good choice. They have nice rooms and the property is in a decent location on the Strip.

The Shelby Museum is interesting and is very close the race track. See the reviews on the attached link for more info.

100 per night for a Nascar event might be hard to find, particularly weekends

looking at your dates on expedia TI is a good choice--probably best for your price range

If you are able to bump your budget up slightly, Mirage is an even nicer choice. I just looked at packages to be quick, but usually I find booking flight/hotel separate is cheaper.

I was assuming flying from Newark, 6 nts, 3/8-14

TI is an excellent choice. They will roll out the red carpet for Nascar weekend. It is a very good choice in it's price range.

I strongly recommend booking the room you want, and the Strip View at TI is AMAZING. Do not count on an upgrade. Checking in on that Saturday will be a challenge, as most will have arrived earlier.
