There's a bunch of casinos there and the picturesque Colorado river. It generally speaking attracts an older crowd and is pretty relaxed and slow moving compared to LV with little or none of the buzz and excitement. Summer weather is brutally hot.

If you're a veteran of several Vegas trips and are looking for something new with a change of pace for a day, by all means check it out. If there are still things you haven't seen and done in LV, save it for a future trip.

Hi john, ive done this trip from vegas it was free and inc a free lunch, imho if you are going to vegas for a week or more its worth it,it a fairly decent trip through desert scenery, theres around half a dozen casinos which are more like downtown vegas. In The bit I liked was the colorado river and the walk, there was a shopping mall which was pretty poor.the only thing you paid for was $5 to $10 for fuel.the lunch was ok for free plenty of choice but fairly low grade.on the way back it takes you to the small chocolate factory which is poor but they have a cactus garden which if you go over the xmas period is its lit up with thousands of light which is nice.if you are on a short vegas visit give it a miss.have a great trip whatever you decide,be lucky!!

Only if you have been to LV a number of times and have seen all there is to see, then Yes Laughlin is worth the trip. The ride over usually takes me about 1/12 to 2 hours with a stop in-between. The hotels in Laughlin are located on the banks of the Colorado river, there is a bridge that separates Nevada and Arizona that spans across the river.

Laughlin itself isn't overly exciting, more laid back then LV but the river is beautiful. They have water taxis to take you from one hotel to the other and also a boardwalk along the river to stroll and relax if you want to.

Everything in Laughlin is Cheaper then in LV, during the summer months it can be much warmer then in LV, during the summer months the river is alive with all kinds of people enjoying water sports.

Comp rooms are fairly easy to get in Laughlin, and the gambling is more laid back, Laughlin is no LV but a great day trip for a change of pace.

if you have time, take a drive from Laughlin to Oatman. A great little wild west town with "wild burro's" walking the street.

Another operator is Keytours and look at http://freevegastours.com/ but the site is not responding just now.

I have only been with Keytours. This goes to the Golden Nugget owned by the same people who own the Downtown one. This is further away from the Mall than the Colordo Belle, which they used to go to. It is more walking than I like to do but really no problem for 90% of people.

We've always just rented a car and driven there. It is a very easy 90 minute drive. We also spend a night or two, because room rates are incredibly cheap. It's a nice break from Vegas.
