Slots are all about being at the right place at the right time.

There are different payback percentages between strip, downtown, and locals casinos, but nothing you could even appreciate in the short term. You can't calculate a slot machine's actual payback by putting in $100 and seeing how you do. The person in front or behind you can put in $100 and have drastically different results.

This answer differs greatly if you are a video poker player, as some casinos have more favorable payables. When it comes to slots though, play where you feel you will enjoy playing the most.

Although being in the right place at the right time is very important and with my gamne knowing what to hold in VP at the VP bar I can share my loose slot experience on my trip last week.

I lost at every VP bar in every casino tht I tried. Some a slooow drain some a quick loss. But every night I met a friend at the Casino Royal bar and played VP poker there and wow my cash back evry night. I won all my losses back every night at this place. So I have to give it a plug. I played DDB and Bonus Duces. Very rewarding. So give it a try. Plus their free drinks are very strong.

Have fun

It is not just what machines are "loose" but also what is the "variance" of the machine. Some "loose" machines may seem tight to most people because they do not return many "small wins". However, when the rare jackpot is calculated in, the machine may indeed have a higher payback than the machine next to it that has less variance (many small wins, but few large ones).

If you want your money to last longer (short term), then look for machines with lots of small payouts (but smaller jackpots) on the pay tables. If you want to dream and take a chance for the "big win", then look for machines with the bigger jackpots and less smaller payouts.

Also, you can have two identical machines side-by-side. One can be chipped to payback a higher percentage than the identical one next to it.
