Which Hampton?

Our family of four ( 2 adults, 2 kids) will be staying in Henderson for a couple of days and doing some day trips from there. We usually stay in Hilton properties since we are Honors members and we like Hamptons for the included breakfast ( really nice when traveling with kids). So, there are apparently two Hampton hotels in Henderson. One is located on Astaire Dr. and the other on St. Rose Pkwy. My question is about location....Is one area nicer than the other or closer to restaurants? We would also like to at least take a drive down the LV strip and see it at night...is one hotel closer or more convenient than the other for that? Sorry if these questions seem silly but we are totally unfamiliar with the area and have no idea about distances or where things are located in relation to one another. Maps help a little but not like the advice of someone who has personal experience...so we would appreciate any info and/or advice. Thanks!

Practically nobody looks at the Henderson forum. I suggest you post this again on the Las Vegas forum - a few current and former residents of the LV valley post there regularly and should hopefully be able to help.

The Hampton on Astaire is right behind Sunset Station, many Chain restaurant and fast food in the area and The Galleria Mall is there too.

The Hampton on St Rose is also close to many restaurants, it's at the bottom of an upscale neighborhood Seven Hills as well as all of the other neighborhoods in that area.

You can't go wrong at either, both will take about the same amount of time to drive to the Strip. I think for what you are looking for Astaire may be a better fit.
