My wife & I have scheduled a vacation in Biloxi 8-11 Apr. I now find out that 11 Apr is the beginning of Black Spring Break. I am not a racist but I am white. Does anyone know how safe it would be?

I'm not sure why you assume that because it's Black Spring Break it may not be safe. Rest assured black spring breakers are no more dangerous than white spring breakers.
The bigger issue is that it's college kids doing what they do best, partying, and if that's not your scene you may want to stay away from the gulf coast (in any state) during spring break season.
It is not what everyone thinks! The college kids stay to themselves down in West Biloxi by the Coliseum and mall area. So don't let that stop you. Benefit is the hotels are usually a bit more affordable that time of year.
If you are looking for a nice quite vacation, sorry but maybe not such a good idea. Lived in Myrtle Beach so know for a fact, ANY biker break is VERY noisy. If you are going to be driving in the area, count on a lot of traffic. You will deal with crowded restaurants so just try to go places a bit off the normal times for meals to avoid the bigger crowds.
Biloxi is a great place to visit, hope you have fun.

I'm SORRY, I didn't read the original question correctly. I thought it was referring to BIKER break didn't notice it was for spring break. Don't know where my head was when reading it.
SORRY,
Mac

What are forum guidelines?I don't know that it's particularly unsafe...there can be trouble any time you get a large number of drunken college students together in one place. There is a pretty strong police presence but there are also lots of people, especially in West Biloxi, lots of traffic delays, more trash on the streets and on the beach than you can possibly imagine and forget about going for a quiet walk or maybe shopping at the mall. I plan to avoid Biloxi those days but I've driven through it in the past and survived.
