Normally I go to to Jacksonville for this weekend or Vegas. We decided to try Biloxi after a hiatus of almost 15 years.
Checked into paradise casino Saturday afternoon. Picked paradise for the smoke free environment. Room was very nice, had a view of the bay, marina, and pool. Everyone at the casino was extremely friendly. Didn't do the buffet as buffets aren't our thing. We pretty much ate at the grill cafe. Very good food and pretty cheap. My fav was the seafood gumbo. They make it their not out of a can! Also gotta try their bakery shop. It's all made on site too..
Sunday - Visited margaritavile casino next. Do not recommend it all. The smoke had my SO choking before we got into the casino.. Also losing 200 in 10 min didn't help. Next stop was the beau rivage. (our old haunt). Very nice Vegas-ish casino.. Think bellagio or Venetian. We had lunch their in their cafe. Very good. Did some shopping. Casino was good to us this evening.
Monday - hit up hard rock. Not as smoky. Kind of a little brother to the Vegas hard rock but clean. Got comped free buffet just for joining players club. Casino was mean. Lost another 200 quick and went back home to the paradise.
Tuesday- went by hard rock again to get our breakfast buffet. Made up a little of our losses and left to go back home to Huntsville, al.
Pros - half shell oyster house. Ate oysters their for lunch. Excellent! But go only if you like your oysters on the large (very) size. I have never seen oysters that large before!
McElroys harbor house. Next to hard rock.. Got shrimp platters. Shrimp were some of the best. Plus you can sit outside and enjoy the weather and the harbor at the same time. So much shrimp I couldn't eat it all and that's a first for me.
Beaches. Excellent excellent excellent. Can't begin to express how clean and nice they were.
I think I may have found a new 'go to' place. May even replace Vegas as my all time favorite. Thanks Paradise casino for a great visit!
All in all a very enjoyable time. And I think it just may replace
