Girls Weekend mid to late April

There are four of us in our mid 50's and Biloxi is one of three places we are looking at for a three night get away. What would be the best casino to stay at? Are there any that are within walking distance of each other? I understand that the beaches aren't open? Can four women gave a good time and is there lots of things to do?

Thanks

All the casinos are nice since they have been refurbished. If price is not an issue, stay at the Beau, probably the nicest. Not sure if the casino next to the Isle of Capri is open yet and can't think of the name, but if so, they would be within walking distance. None are more than a five minute drive from each other, and there's very little traffic. Not a whole lot to do unless you enjoy gambling since the beaches are in such bad shape. Most of the restaurants have not rebuilt yet so keep in mind the casino restaurants have long wait times at dinner.

Thank you for the reply. The four of us have made many trips but for some reason this year we are having a hard time picking a place that satisfys everyone.

I agree with nane. There is not a lot to do there yet besides gamble, but if you like gambling then you will have a good time.

i am a local and yes many of the casinos are up and running. thankfully! in honesty, however, most of them are only running because they crammed themselves into whatever buildings they were able to salvage after the storm. the amenities arent the same. the restaurants are fewer and the casinos smaller except fro the beau rivage and the imperial palace and the palace, all of which were able to salvage their buildings in entirety. you wont be walking casino to casino. that used to be the case, but not yet again. however, if you are up for a bit of sightseeing along with your gambling, you will see sights that you never thought possible, in viewing the still unreal devastation from the storm.. all this time later and still there are areas that appear to have not been touched. while we need travelers so badly, if it is a not so often getaway and you need it to be special.. remember, you will be getting limited amenities. not at all back to par yet but we are getting there! again, the experience, if you are into it, is something you wont likely see again in your lifetime. i am still amazed even after all these months. it is moving beyond words and has changed my entire family's outlook on life down to our smallest children! i feel it is something everyone should see and understand, if you choose to come, rent a car and take a drive. there is plenty of good food, just not your typical casino vacation.... tables and slots, limited restaurants and not a whole lot of casino-style entertainment... my favorites are the grand biloxi, they have a really nice live band in the casino each night, the beau rivage, of course, as it is the nicest (but teh table limits are higher) and the island view in gulfport, which, incidentally is opening a huge expansion in mid-may bringing it back to 'large resort' standards.
