Don't stay at the Ramada Mall of America |
|
When we walked in the room it looked nice and was spaciouse by the beds! Lone behold....the room was crap!! The curtain rod was broke and we couldn't close it. The window opened but had no screen(great for my 6yr to crawl out of), the light above the bed didn't work, all the lights were dim so ladies you might want to bring your own lighting if you plan on putting makeup on cause it's like trying to find stuff with a lighter. The bathroom was so small!!! It is no bigger than a public bathroom stall and they had no fan!! The shower was weird, the nozel for it didn't aim downward only upward(like they put it on backwards) so we had to lift our son up in the water in order for him to shower! The pool was great until the next day when we went swimming we had to get out because of all the dirt and stuff that looked like pieces of paper floating around. It was absolutely repulsive!!! To make matters worse we payed $110 for 2 beds and they have NO CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST!!! I have stayed in cheaper, nicer places that offer breakfast and what...the Ramada can't afford it? The things that I can say that were good: beds were comfortable, great location right off of 494 and across the street from Mall Of America. Yep that's all the positives. |

Were you promised breakfast on the website, or when you reserved, or when you checked in? Usually I know that information before I even decide on which hotel. With all the things wrong with your room, I'm sure you spoke to the front desk, or better yet, the manager on duty... were they able to make it right for you ?

I agree with you that it is a junky hotel. I stayed there a couple of years ago when it was called the Thunderbird. I was very disappointed. It sounds like the place has only gotten worse. If You ever stay in Bloomington again you might want to try Country Inn and Suites Bloomington West. A little further from the mall, but very nice, clean, good bar and restaurant, and a clean pool.
