Cannery Row

Are the Cannery Row condo's on the north beach or the south beach? What can you tell me about them?

Also...they say they are across the street from the lake. Does that mean across the street from the beach so it would be simply corssing the street or are there other condos on that side of the road and would it be a farther walk to actually get to a beach?

We have a 2 year old and a 4 year old and are looking for a place to stay on the north shore that has a pool in June. Are there any other places you could recommend?

They are on the northside, not to be confused with the northbeach. The northbeach would be a couple of blocks to the south. They are located at the corner of Dykeman and Northshore Dr. Dykeman ends at Northshore but the abandoned roadway was converted to a beach the width of the road and it is indeed just across the street, and yes there are other condos across the street from Cannery Row just north of the beach so the view of the lake is mostly blocked. I've not been in any of the units so can't say but they seem to be reviewed well here. There has been discussion about particular units here before so maybe do a search on the forum here.

I defer to Rono on all things condo-y, but to address your concern about the walking distance to the beach: the walk to the beach from Cannery Row is definitely doable with a 2 and 4 y/o

How far of a walk from Cannery Row into town?

About 4 1/2 5 blocks to smack dab downtown. It's a lovely walk, you'll go over the bridge (the 4 year old will love it if you happen to be there when it's up to let boats thru) make a right, up the hill and you're at Old Harbor Village (shops), make the left onto Center St. and 'downtown' starts. Two blocks down and you're at the main corners of beautiful downtown South Haven. :-)
