See the Provincetown Business Guild website for more info. They have a good list of all the special events that are going on.

Many restaurants are closed but the ones open I know of are the Mews, Napi's, Fanizzi's and Victor's.

Provincetown is a diverse, welcoming place. The year 'round community is quite small so mostly you will be among visitors like yourselves. We love P-town in every season, though as others have pointed out, many of the shops are closed and the atmosphere is a lot more subdued than in the summer. However, iMHO, the natural beauty of the outer cape is alive and well all winter. If you love to walk, take advantage of the many lovely walking trails inside the Park from Eastham to Provincetown. Stop at the National Seashore's Salt Pond Visitor's Center in Eastham for trail guides and tour the Center's Museum and book store while you are there. If you can get in touch with the "real" natural beauty of the outer cape, the fact that the commercial part has partially closed down will not be a big liability.

If you should decide to venture from Provincetown, stop in Orleans where you will find several very nice dining options, a popular pub, THe Land 'Ho, and a lively coffee shop, The Hot Chocolate Sparrow. Enjoy!

Make reservations to dine at Fanizzi's or The Mews ot The Red Inn. Stroll Commercial. You will find some bars and lounges open, including Harbor Lounge. Great laid back atmosphere right on the beach, not like a club at all. The Sqealing Pig is an Irish bar with terrific food. They will probably have a band at least one night. Check Harbor Hotel for entertainment.

As Yellowbird said, go to the beaches. You may see a whale from the beach. The beauty of the Outer Cape is stunning.

Enjoy!
