Just returned from a week along the Maine coast and found this to be the best experience of the whole vacation. We took Rt 24 south from Brunswick and Highway 1 into the Harpswells and came upon this motel - checked into a few other places to stay and returned to Baily Island Inn for the night. Located across the street from Cook's Lobster House and around the corner from The Giant Stairs, it was comfortable, quiet and run by a family who were all terrific. They were friendly and enthusiastic about where they live and what they do and made us feel at home. Room was large and light and had all the amenities you'd want. Free coffee and warm blueberry muffins in the morning, and even came out with towels to wipe down the chairs set up on the outside hill overlooking the water so we could sit and watch the lobster boaters head out of the harbor. Affordable and seemingly undiscovered - only 1 other room was occupied. Feel very lucky to have spent time here.
