Fort Mitchell is a suburban area of Cincinnati with little to offer beyond the hotels and restaurants along I-75 and Dixie Highway. The nearest shopping would be at Florence Mall, a few miles south, and downtown Cincinnati to the north. MainStrasse in Covington and the aquarium in Newport (neighboring cities on the south bank of the Ohio River) are possible sightseeing destinations, as is the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption in Covington. For museums, the Taft Museum and Art Museum in Cincinnati are close by the downtown area, as are the Krohn Conservatory, the Museum Center (Historical Society and Museum of Natural History, and an Imax theater, housed in the old Art Deco train station), and the zoo.
