We are stopping at Mammoth Cave on our way home to Illinois.
Not too sure we want to stay in the run down over priced hotels in that area.....is it worth it to drive hour to stay over in this town?
We came thru the town after leaving Lincoln's birthplace and on our way to Harrodsburg to visit the Shaker Village at Mt. Pleasant. We were doing a road trip thru Kentucky. The town is larger than Cave city and had more hotels and restaurants but we did not stay there for the night.
