Hi
I am going to Chicago for thanksgiving weekend and we are going to stay in Rosemont, could anybody recommend a hotel that is near the bars in Rosemont, I think there is an new Irish bar in that area. As we would not be driving we would to be near all the action.

FYI - there isn't a lot of action in Rosemont. The area is comprised mostly of hotels and office buildings. Without a car, you're quite limited as to what to see/do. http://rosemont.com/

Yes we are only going to stay two nights as the prices downtown are crazy for that time of year. So once we have a local bar we should be ok :)
I got a really good rate for the Intercontinental only €95 for a night. Is there any hotel you would recommend over this?

Aloft hotel is your best choice. It is located in the new entertainment district in Rosemont. It has Muvico theatre, and several bars Adobe Gila, Toby Keith's I Love this Bar and and Irish PUb are the three I know for sure. . Adobe Gila is home of the Giant Mug of Margaritas and has mexican food, has some live music. Tob Keith's is a chain they have a large stage for bands.
. If you are looking for something more club like - the Rivers Casino has a club called Cube. Most of the hotels have shuttles to the Casino.
Also if you want to go downtown from Rosemont, the Blue Line runs 24 hours a day. Check if your hotel has a shuttle or can reccomend a reliable cab service.
Has anyone taken the "blue line"from the Hyatt to downtown? If so any tips on riding the blue line, this will be our 1st experince. We normaly drive downtown, but thought this would be cheaper & possibly easier.
