We brought our own kayaks to Tybee, and are staying on the North End area. Would like suggestions on where best to kayak. Since we are close to ship lanes, not sure of our options, whether there are any restrictions, etc. Thanks.

1. Re: Kayaking

A good place to start is the back river. Go to the south end of the island, park on Inlet ave and carry your boats to the river. You can paddle over to Little Tybee or up the river. Stop in at Sea Kayak Georgia, on Hwy 80 on the north end of the Island, before the post office. They will probably have lots of ideas.
