How's the drive from/to Tampa to Homossassa Springs

Hi Everyone. Just asking a question as to the drive from (and back)

Tampa to Homossasa Springs. I will be in the area on Jan. 25 to visit Lu the Hippo on his birthday. Just wanted to know if there was any construction on going, any tolls on the road (renting a car with NO electronic billing) there and any gas stations along the way. Tried to look it up but got conflicting answers. How is the drive there? Generally good roads? Thanks for any input.

No tolls if you go this way ... straight up I-75 then take hwy 98 through Brooksville. 98 tees into hwy 19. Go North on 19 to Homossassa.

The one toll road is the Veterans Expressway. Whereabouts in Tampa will you start from to go to Homossassa?

I don't know of any construction but Jan 25 is still a long way away. The roads are excellent.

A little quicker probably would be to take Busch West to Gunn hwy to the Veterans/Suncoast Parkway. But, this way you will have to pay several dollars toll (manned toll booth - cash OK)

If wanting to avoid tolls, the way AhHah mentions would be fine, and not really too much longer in time.

No construction along either way that I know of right now. There are gas stations along the way.

Thanks a lot guys, Some time back I was on google maps and it showed construction. I know that it is still a lot of time till my trip but as far as I have seen, construction nowadays is being done by the turtle-speed company. Right where I live, it has been more than six months already. And the end is nowhere near in sight. Once again, thank you very much
