Water

If anyone is concerned about the water quality in the stuart and surrounding areas due to the releasing of billions of gallons of water from Lake Okeechobee into the Caloosahatchee and St Lucie rivers here is a site with contact information to contact congress.....this needs to be stopped.

floridaocean.org/p/…contact-your-legislators

there is a lot of information about this problem on the internet and newspapers and the the site above.

Hubie

I did email letters to congress and senators on the site mentioned above, today I received a reply from Senator Joe Negron which included this info for a meeting to be held on August 22nd. If you or anyone you know live in the area and would like to attend here is the information. This problem is a disgrace!!

it is being discussed on the Sanibel and FMB forums, where I posted a few comments if you would like to check it out. It is effecting both coasts.

Happy to say the releases have ceased. Waters have cleared up at least for now. Several large Snook at our dock last night. Heron and Osprey are flying and hunting. Mullet Run is on. Praying that b4 next Summer's rains begin an alternative is found for Lake water releases!
