My fiance and I are planning a wedding for July 05 on Sanibel Island. We ar from Jersey, but both have family in Fla. We are taking a weekend visit to Sanibel in 2 weeks to look at reception sites. In particular Sanibel Harbour REsort, Casa Ybel ands West Wind Inn. We would like to marry outside maybe on a lawn overlooking the water, but not on the beach. Casa Ybel is expensive and saw reviews which were disappointing. Sanibel Harbour seemed to have mostly good reviews, but they indicated there was not much of a beach. Does anyone have any previous experience with a wedding on Sanibel? Any input on reception or ceremony sites would be greatly appreciated!Thanks

Have you thought about Sundial Beach Resort on Sanibel Island?

Maybe this would be a good alternative. I've stayed there a few times, and see a weddings going on every time stay. I have NO idea what the costs are for weddings and things like that, but they look nice overlooking the Gulf of Mexico...

What did you decide? We are going down in two weeks to look at Sundial, Casa Ybel and Tween Waters for a Dec wedding. Would appreciate your input Thanks!
