Looking for things to do for a first time visitor to Sandestin arriving in Dec. Since temps will be cooler, water activities are not a priority.

We have some great events that will be going on at Sandestin during December. We have 12 Nights of Lights every weekend in the Village of Baytowne Wharf, Tee Off for Toys at our golf course on December 7-8, Luminaria Run, December 8, Baytowne Holiday Lantern Parade on December 15 and and an amazing New Year's Eve celebration. There are other events as well that you can always see on our website, www.sandestin.com/events

That is great! The weather is gorgeous and you will have a great weekend here! Not sure where you will be staying on the resort but you can check in at Guest Registration located on the south side of hwy 98 at 98 and Sandestin Blvd. this location is open 8-5 daily. You can also check in at the Grand Sandestin, located on the north side of the property and it is a 24 hour check-in desk. dont eat at grin gos mexican cantina , was sick with hearburn for two days and they have a 18 % tip added for terrible food

What is the weather typically like in mid December? Sites say 40's to 60's - trying to efficiently pack on this, my first solo vacation.
