Walking beach and beach bars - help!

I would like to walk along the beach, and visit beach bars. Where along the beach can we do this? I've heard of miracle mile. Is that a nice stretch? Where do you access ? 40 something's here.

The Miracle Mile refers to a stretch of beach along the northern end of Saint Pete Beach. From south to north, it starts at the Undertow Beach Bar, and wraps up at the PCI Bar at the Postcard Inn. There are at least a dozen beachfront bars, many with live music starting in the afternoon.

To access, you could park at the public beach parking lot across from the Dolphin Village shopping area (you would have to walk a short ways south to the Undertow, then double back. You could also park at Upham Beaach, at the northern end of SPB, then "crawl" southward.

But. It might be best to consider a taxi if you are thinking of sampling many of the possibilities!
