Tradewinds IG - Cabanas

We have booked a 2 bedroom suite that sleeps 8 adults, however there are only 4 adults and 2 children. Does anyone know if we will be allowed 6 cabanas? After reading up on it Im worried that we will only be allowed 2. They seem really slow on reponses to emails and im getting frustrated.. thanks in advance.

1. Re: Tradewinds IG - Cabanas

In the past we have only been able to reserve one cabana (each has 2 lounges) per bedroom not per bed. If we have 3 bedroom then we could get 3 cabanas, which is enough for 6 people. If we have a 2 bedrooms then we were allowed 2 cabanas, which holds 4 people total.

We have never asked to reserve additional ones but you could ask. The most they would do is tell you there is a charge.

I would recommend purchasing beach chairs/loungers from either the beach shop on Gulf Blvd. or the Publix to use for the kids. It will be cheaper than the daily rental fee of an extra cabana. Just check to make sure Tradewinds allows these chairs -- I know there was no problem at Sirata using them. Other posters on this forum can probably tell you sooner than Tradewinds will.

The Tradewinds do not own the Beach, (contrary to what they might think) It is a public conveyance in Florida. You can sit on whatever you want.
