Newbee, Hello ! Just curious, when you say this hotel is the cheapest - is it because you called and asked the prices of the top rated hotels or B & B's? OR are you going by the "average price" you see listed on each hotel or B & B on Tripadvisor's listing of that place?
I own a small Inn and know that the "average" price listed above (next to) each listing on any rated B & B or hotel on Tripadvisor is really the "average" price if you book through Expedia or Hotels.com, or another booking type engine. If you actually call the place inself; especially last minute; you sometimes get a better and much lower rate and truly it sometimes does cost MORE to book through one of those type booking agents as they do charge the B & B or hotel a percentage and often the "average" price listed here reflects that percentage.
Always call directly to the B & B or Hotel and ask for the "best deal" especially for last minute reservations. Be forewarned, however, that many of the higher rated Inns, Hotels, may be already booked up especially as this is "season" now, or may want a two night minimum stay because they can indeed get it in season.
Just a tip for all who book through booking engine sites. There are not always the "best deal". Have fun in our town, and let us know how you fared and what worked for you; and what didn't.
