The Village Grille ,next to Aruba is certainly not cheap, but if you sit on their patio you can see the water.
I wonder if that hotel that used to be the Clarion just north of Commercial ( I think now called the Lauderdale Beachside cafe ) serves anything in their patio/bar on teh Ocean- if they don't they are certainly missing a golden opportunity, aren't they!
You may know that Aruba has a Sunday buffet breakfast for $10pp (I would call it breakfast , not brunch and beverage is extra). The food is not great, but it is all you can eat of stuff like eggs beeenedict, french toast sticks etc. I believe Shooters on teh Intracoastal at Oakland has something also and that the quality is better but I don't recall the price.
Have you ever been up to the little cafe at the Lighthouse Point Yacht Basin , where you catch the boat to Caps? That little cafe , whose name I have forgotten , is on their little Marina and I am pretty sure serves breakfast- I'll see if I can find the name and info- I've had lunch there three or four times and they are good and fairly reasonable.
I agree that it is a sad state of affairs that all these places have closed!!
