Sr. couple coming to PCB late January 2013 to watch grandson play baseball at Gulf Coast Community College in Panama City. Would like suggestions as to where to stay for three nights. Need minimum one bedroom plus two bathrooms. Prefer somewhere upscale, beachfront????? Prefer middle to east end of PCB. Thanks. John
Recommend you try some hotels. Lots of Snowbirds come here starting in January and they get a lot of the condos. Others rent for a weeks stay. VRBO has quite a selection, but it might be difficult to find a short stay in a nice condo that time of year. Good news is there are lots of condos for rent - so just check the area you want to stay (middle to east end) and start shopping. Good luck - hope you find a place.
Hotel-wise, Holiday Inn Sunspree is probably your closest beachfront location and it is nice. It is on Front Beach Road (roughly middle of the beach).
If you decide to go the condo route, you can get closer to your baseball destination by staying on Thomas Drive. I would check VRBO.com. There are many properties, but you might consider Seychelles (has the type unit you are searching for and is convenient). Also, we like Pelican Walk (an older place, but quiet and well maintained).
If you aren't comfortable with the VRBO thing, you might try Joni's Beach Rentals...we have rented through them several times and they are good to work with.
3 nights is probably doable for a condo, although you'll need to seek out the good nightly rates to balance the cleaning fee they all charge regardless of the length of stay.

They might like Calypso really nice Condo good off seasons rates with lower floor one bed room two bath units.
I agree with Deskclerk102....Seychelles is a wonderful choice and close to where you will need to go. VRBO is great and you should be able to find a condo there. We have also rented through Joni's Beach rentals and had no problem....they were very nice to work with.

Bay Point Wyndham is very nice - it's one east end of the beach, maybe 10 minutes from GCSC. They've got amazing views on the bay and have a large quiet property. I'm not sure if they have units with 2 bathrooms, but you can check. Other options include Seychelles, Sterling Beach, Shores of Panama, Laketown Wharf and Moonspinner.
