also I make this a suggestion to a family looking for affordable food option:
This place is a real deal (featured on rachel ray's 40 dollars a day show) and they are soooo down home. everytime we have gone there they have been nothing but nice and accomadating. I am sure if you contact them they will be able to help you out. Hear me out... as this might be a nice choice of a "nice" dinner.
They have 4 course meals for two people at 44.90. extra person 22.45. (less for kids i believe but im not 100% on that)
First course cheese fondue
You mentioned she could have cheese and bread (and it if read it correctly a select group of veggies?) They could make up one bowl of it, but put some in a second pot for her so that she could have her own and only dip in there things that are ok for her. That way you and your husband can dip your favorites as well.
second course is a salad... perhaps they will reduce her bill since she cannot have salad.
Third course- the meat course.
This is what sets colorado apart from other resutrants. Their hot rock cooking. They have a large slab of granite that they heat up to 500 degrees and you can cook directly on it. NO GREASE! the flavor is amazing. There are plenty of meat options. you get chicken, pork, steak, shirmp and fish with you entreee... the stones are large and she could cook her things to one side if she is allergic to any of the meat items.
fourth course- chocolate
she can get her own little dish again. the serve pound cake, brownies, marshmellows and nuts with their choclate for her. and for you there is also wonderful fresh fruit.
plus all the warm rolls you want! oh and you can get pasta to cook in the bouillion!
it really is a great meal and it is quality. I know they will try their best to accomodate you. and she might be able to get kid prices.
they are a family run business, they really are lovely people.
I wrote a facebook message to my friend, hopefully he will get back to me tomorrow about the name of the place with pad tai.
