Slightly behind on trip reports again so here's days 8-11 ( written for the 2nd time as just lost all report as phone needed recharged☺)!
Day 8 (29th of June)
Slightly different today as DS away with our friends for the day. So we headed to Siesta Village which is just up from Siesta Key public beach. Lovely place to visit for the day. Spent time at the beach and then went for a late lunch in one of the many restaurants.
We then headed to the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, where we spent a couple of hrs before driving home.
When we got home I decided to try and give driving here a go. So went out myself and drove around estate. Not sure why I thought it would be difficult to do but it wasent. Think it was all in my head, so really proud of myself that I have done it ☺
Day 9 (30th June)
Up early as leaving bradenton and heading to Orlando for 9 nights. We enjoyed our time in the Gulf Coast and would visit here again. It's a good central base to visit many other places such as Sarasota , St Pete's, Clearwater etc.
On our drive to Orlando we stopped off at Lego land. Unfortunately, weather not great and all rides were off and shows cancelled ( as there was lightening within 15 miles). Spent couple of hrs just walking around and son playing with Lego. He was able to do the driving school ( got his own driving licence) which he really enjoyed).
Drive to villa at windser palms ok apart from really heavy rain. Unpacked and headed to Sweet Tomatoe for dinner.
Day 10 ( 1st July)
Again weather not great today so hubby suggested visit to Mall Mallenia, who was I to say no😃.
Spent couple of hrs shopping ( found great bargains in juicy couture) then headed for lunch at Cheesecake Factory. Love this restaurant and we always try and visit whilst on holiday here.
Headed home and spent evening in pool.
Day 11 (2nd July)
Up early to go to Universal Studio's for the first time. Headed straight for the Transformers ride (30 minute wait at 9.15am). Wait well worth it, fab ride We then done woody wood pecker, ET, Simpsons (my favourite ride), men in black, terminator and shrek.
Ate in the universal studio's classic monster cafe which was ok but I thought expensive for what we got.
Really started to rain heavily in the afternoon so as we had done all rides that we wanted to, we left.
Had dinner in olive garden on the 192 which was good as always.
Sorry, report slightly long. Will try to keep next one shorter!
