You should definitely go to the character lunch or dinner in the Garden Grill in the Land pavillion. Food is served family style - all you can eat - and it's good. Characters visit the tables regularly. Should call disney to make your reservation ahead of time - in fact do it now as this restaurant fills up. Also, if you want to go on Soarin' go to the ride as soon as you get to Epcot to get your fast pass.

Your older children may be a little for a character meal. If you're looking for some fun dinners Alfredos and Biergarten get the diners into the action.

I also recommend the Garden Grill! Great food and will please everyone in your family! We also enjoy Le Cellier in Canada, great pretzel bread and cheddar cheese soup!

If you go to intercot.com/infocentral/…default.asp

you can see all of the menus for the Epcot eateries. It's great info to get ahead of time as you can plan your meals alot better. Make sure you call and make reservations, (aka...preferred seating), or you may end up eating where you really don't want to. We learned this the hard way this past December. We ended up eating at a counter type restaurants that served rubbery tasting burgers.

We just returned and had meals at Garden Grill and San Angel. Both were wonderful. The Garden Grill is a character meal, but it is great food and not over-the-top characters. It is cool because the restaurant rotates so you see different scenery.

The food and atmosphere of San Angel in the Mexico pavillion is great. We love feeling like we are in a Mexican village at twilight time while listening to the festive music of the band playing just outside the restaurant in the village market. It is great fun. When you finish eating, you can go straight for a relaxing ride on El Rio del Tiempo that runs through the restaurant.

On past trips we have also enjoyed Nine Dragons and Le Cellier.
