Virgin, travel city direct or first choice |

I'm getting very puzzled by all the options in orlando. I'm not sure who to book with or where to stay. It's my first time with my partner we will be getting a car but don't know where to stay. help Report as inappropriate |

We travel with Virgin and have always found their service excellent. It doesn't necessarily have to be more expensive either! We booked this November's holiday as soon as we could get a brochure (about August last year) and got a substantial early booking discount. We also booked over the internet which gave us a further discount. We've ended up paying 1900GBP for 2 adults and 2 children, 14 nights at the Holiday Inn International Drive- TCD are currently asking 2300GBP for the same package. I never book any "extras" through the travel company as they charge more for everything from theme park tickets to travel insurance to airport parking. It may be convenient to get everything sorted in one go but can dramatically increase the overall cost of your holiday. The cheapest site I've found for tickets is best4attractions.com. Good luck with your planning, I'm sure you'll have a fantastic time, whoever you decide to travel with! Report as inappropriate

Travelled with both, no comparison on price, slightly higher standard with Virgin no more room or better food/drink. Had a look on TCD site and for a 2 week holiday inn package withfull size hire car it was 1960 british pounds

TCD have obviously reduced their price since I checked ! Virgin have now sold out of economy seats for these dates anyway, so, I guess TCD do work out cheaper. But as for which is better, everyone will have their own opinion based on personal experience. Like I said, I'm sure you will have a wonderful time whoever you go with. I guess that's still 60 GBP more than Virgin...? However, I think we are missing the point of the original question! Suntan24 will be even more confused by now. If it was my first time, I'd do it as a package. Once you know what it's like, perhaps consider a DIY itinery in future if you plan to return. I only recommend Virgin because the service was so good for us on our first visit to Florida; so good, we always use them now. But it's each to his (or her) own! Report as inappropriate

dont know why you bothered to ask who to fly with, your post always indicated that you were going to go with Virgin. As vinny1971 says if you got money to burn go for it. Although i would have thought you could have found something else to spend 400 quid on you could have saved , ( a dimond ring?) What you ought to be more concerned with is not who you fly with as that is only going to be 16 hours of your life. You will probably be spending 14 nights and other time in an hotel room. Which could be very good to very poor, and like the flight price you might not be able to tell the differance by what you have to pay till you experiance it. If you get a bad one you will not want to return. so I suggest you make this your priority. Even Virgin puts some of its coustmers in doss holes Report as inappropriate

sometimes it is the reps that can make all the difference. Last year we went with Airtours and happened to be out there when one of the hurricanes struck. Not once did the reps try to contact us or check that we were ok - anything could have happened to us and no-one would have known until it was time to go home!!! Virgin reps went out of their way and even made sure that we were ok despite not travelling with them on this occasion. Report as inappropriate

Poacher. Disappointed in your last reply. Completely unconstructive, but at least your spelling made me smile. Report as inappropriate

I know chinners, its a problem I have always had, I will often spell little words like teh for the and then carnt see whats wrong even though I know something is. Sometimes its a typing error and I carnt see whats wrong. When I do others things on my computer sometimes carnt belive how many errors the spell check finds. I use to get upset at school and my early years but its gone on that long it doesent bother me now its just part of my life i carn't change. So long as people get the message I dont care any more. Ive been beaten bashed ridiculed, show up and embarrased in public about it . doesent register any more. This is why I never wrote my book till I got a computer and a spell check to find all the faults, although i found that it couldnt spell everything either. Report as inappropriate
