Ideas for food/short trips, stay in Sunny Isles |
|
Special thanks to TA Girl - we stayed in South Beach last May and looved it... beach and mojitoes especially.
Going to Miami Beach Mar 7-14 this time, outside South Beach. We’re actually renting a cool oceanfront private condo at 56th and Collins (is it Sunny Isles?) a bit away. Renting a car also needles to say (parking onsite). Can you please give me an idea of where we’ll be? Are there any eateries nearby? Anything we can walk to? I’m a big fan of those little Cuban delies, but the regular steak or fish will do. Is there is some neighborhood map I can look up for 56th/Collins? Also, what areas will be worth visiting for dinner (South Beach definitely, if we can find some parking there). Secondly – is a car trip to Key West worth it? We aren’t into anything campy, drunken, loud or carnival/Disney-like. Is Little Havana good for a visit? Safe? Any places we should avoid? Outside from lounging at beach/pool, where do we go? If we were to go to South Beach/Ocean Drive/Lincoln Mall, are there any places were we can park and wlak, shop, eat, etc (meter or such, for a few hours). Any advice is appreciated, cheers! N |

AG, thanks again!! I printed and saved the list ;) So I guess no walking there… I suspected that. We shall get out to south beach and park/walk on 2 days at least. We are renting a car so that should not be a problem. Probably will get a convertible since I keep hearing the traffic is slow, lol. .
