Never heard of the Marriott Biscayne Bay party. The Marriott Biscayne Bay is in Miami accross the bay from Miami Beach. It's in an okay neighborhood, not much else to do around there except go to the Design District, which will be throwing tons of parties.

Party doesn't sound bad according to the website, but who knows? However, Miami is a big party town -- some random DJ throwing a NYE party isn't much cause for celebration, so be careful what you pay for.

Your best bet would be to wait until the NYE parties are announced in miaminewtimes.com (Dec. 15) and then go from there. There will be TONS to choose from, so booking now might be a major mistake. This guide is usually all-encompassing and a great tool to help you decide on where to party.

Until then, I'll post about parties as I hear about them.

thanks for the insight. we also need to book a hotel. and this party offers a discount to stay at the hotel. any hotels that you would recommend in the area that has more going on? i would like to be closer to more "stuff". you know- more bars and restaurants. also- would love your opinion on restaurants.

We are staying at the Albion and want a trendy/hip restaurant to make reservations for NYE on Lincoln Road, what do you reccomend?

I am also going down to Miami for New Years with a few other friends. After much research on the internet, and advice from friends...we finally decided on Opium Gardens. $150 general admission gives us access to a premium open bar from 9-12. Should be a good time.

My boyfriend and and I are also going to prive and opium garden which is 200 dollars a ticket. Should be a good time (Lindsay Lohan is hosting) and there is an open bar from 9-12. Prive is the indoor section and Opium Garden is nice because its outside. I heard Opium garden will have a live screen of the ball drop countdown, so you might even appear on t.v. :).

Also some trendy restaurants my boyfriend and I booked for our stay are bloor door, china grill, Tuscan Steakhouse and Nobu. I reccomend checking those places out, I have heard good things about them and know they are extremely trendy.

If you find a room let me know!!! I think it is too late. Usually you have to bolok in October to get a normal room rate.
