1. Re: Hotel Suggestions on South Beach??

Hello Redriva from England,

Our fav hotel is DoubleTree Surfcomber. It's clean, art deco rooms and lobby, great pool and great beach access. Prices are reasonable (as reasonable as they get in South Beach (SoBe). It's also easy walking distance to Ocean Drive and Lincoln Road Mall as well as shops, drug stores (spelled cheap beer, wine and bottled water).

However there are LOTS of hotels along this area. For less money, check out South Seas. Loews is a large more-resort-like hotel. Royal Palm is nice. Ritz-Carlton is very nice - and expensive. The Raleigh Hotel has a VERY cool pool and maybe a more hip place.

For more money, check out Sagamore (large rooms with kitchens), Delano - very hip, or maybe Shore Club.

All of the hotels I've mentioned are directly on the beach and easy walking distance to everything.

Know that rooms in some hotels are smaller than typically hotels in US of A as the hotels were built a long time ago when things were done differently.

Lastly, check out the Forum on this web site under "Miami Beach" rather than "Miami". They are two separate cities distanced by a small bay of water but worlds apart. You'll find much more information under "Miami Beach".

Hope that helps! Cheers!
