Advisor Girl HELP

We are headed to Miami March 10-13. Where do you suggest we book a room AWAY from the spring breakers. We are in our late 20s and enjoy the water, great food and drinks and relaxation...nothing to stuffy. We can rent a car is needed.

Also can you add must sees for first timers.

THANK YOU!!!!

We just returned from Miami (Super Bowl week) & stayed in Adventura at the Yacht Club. It isn't on the ocean & was a quiet area. But it was a good drive (maybe 20 min) to South Beach & to the active areas. We were near a huge mall, lots of high rises (even those ours wasn't) & had beautiful grounds (pool, etc) with fabulous yachts docked there. We rented thru an owner on vrbo.com.

Got a budget in mind? There are great destinations all over the city that can be wild or quiet - moderate or extravagant.

This is your honeymoon trip???

Decide if you want a snuggle spot away from the crowds or a quiet room near the attractions. There is a cool spa (Standard) on the quiet west side of town where you can rest, pamper and tan by day but be in the center of the clubs and restaurants in 10 minutes.

You can book a brand new luxury suite at the Fontainebleau and enjoy a resort on the ocean and taxi south to the Lincoln Rd area to rejoin the crowds...

You can also chill at the boutique Park Central and be right on South Beach in a comfortable, classic Deco atmosphere in the center of the Sobe scene.

Let me know what kind of trip you want to plan...

Some suggested must-sees:

South Beach area-

the beach

walk along Ocean Drive

go to Lincoln Road and sit at a cafe

Holocaust memorial

mainland Miami -

Calle Ocho (8th street) - eat Cuban food

Vizcaya "mansion" and gardens

Venetian Pool in Coral Gables

Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables (their brunch is lovely, but $$, if you can't afford it, you can just walk around or maybe have a drink at the bar)

Everglades-

biking in Shark Valley (rent a bike)

air boat rides (maybe a bit dated, but still pretty cool if you've never done it before)
