POSSIBLE NIGHT TIME lane closures are anticipated to be in place during this week at the entrance to Sigsbee Naval base from 8pm to 5am depending on the receipt of materials and Contractor’s progress. The lane closures at the entrance will shift the lanes to allow in and outbound traffic to the base and will not impact the travel way of N. Roosevelt Boulevard and Kennedy Drive.
NORTH ROOSEVELT DRIVING TIPS
1. Right is best! Since most businesses on North Roosevelt have their entrances on the left side of the road, you’ll have less congestion if you travel in the right lane. You’ll also make it easier for vehicles leaving those businesses to enter back onto the roadway.
2. REMEMBER that through traffic headed downtown must be in the left lane at Palm Avenue. So once you pass the intersection at 5th Street, remember that the right lane will become right-turn-only, and begin getting into the left lane.
