We will be flying into Ft. Lauderdale on Thanksgiving day and heading to Marathon. Can somebody please give us some ideas on where we can stop to eat a traditional Thanksgiving meal somewhere between the airport in Ft. Lauderdale and Marathon?
It will probably be hard to make reservations as we are not sure of an exact time we could be there so is there a place we can go to where reservations are not needed that day?

What about IN Marathon or Islamorada? Several places doing different takes on traditional Thanksgiving dinners. Key Colony Inn = buffet, The Island Fish Co is having a sit down plus their regular menu. And many other places as well. For those two you don't need reservations. If you do figure out a time, Hideaway Cafe does a nice dinner and reservations are necessary.
From FLL to Marathon it's about 2.5 hr drive.

We are thinking we might be ready to eat right after we land which will be late afternoon....so we are looking for something closer to Ft Lauderdale or the Miami area..

Ah, OK. I would check with the FLL forum. Not far from the airport is a street - Los Olas - that has lots of restaurants. Don't know them well enough to know what they might be doing for Thanksgiving.
