Hello all! My fiance and I are planning to visit Key West for our honeymoon. We are willing to splurge a bit on a hotel and were wondering which is better to stay at, The Gradens Hotel or the Marquesa. We'll be going in the offseason when prices aren't as steep. Any recommendations? Thanks.
Have looked at both properties and liked the Gardens better.

No. They're a bit too posh for me. I like my guesthouses more down to earth without a lot of fuss. I do, however like nosing around, stepping into guesthouses and looking at rooms. I've visited both Marquesa and the Gardens, and liked the lush grounds at the Gardens. The Marquesa, while plush, seemed less comfortable, at least to me.
I haven't stayed at either either, but I recommended the Marquesa to neighbors and they raved about it. Said they're looking forward to going back, loved the Marquesa, etc., etc.
If we weren't addicted to having a water view, we'd probably stay there.
