Kermit is the guy who owns Kermit's Key Lime Shoppe near the Key West Bight. He can often be spotted on weekends standing outside his shop, dressed like a chef with a key lime pie in his hand. His shop carries everything a Key lime lover needs -- and a lot of stuff we've never thought of.

Islandkitty is indeed correct, but she left out the little details that his chef's hat is bright green and he's not so much standing in front of his shop but posing and threatening the passing conch train with his pie. He's a consumate promoter: he seems to turn up on the tube anytime there's a report on KW. His key lime pie is good, too.
