Help March in key largo with older teens? what do you think?

6 of us flying to fort lauderdale for 1 night & than down to the keys for last family vacation before starting/ending colleges. Looking at doing a airboat tour before heading to Key Largo 1. recommendations? We want quiet area to relax, but want to snorkel, rent a boat for a day, must have pool, & see any major must sees since we probably won't be back. Looking at condo Kawama Yacht club 2. what do you think? Would we be better off in Maraton? We also want a beach recommendation to just hang & watch the waves. Anyother tips would be great. I'm overwhelmed planning!!!

You won't find waves here, or many beaches, but you can find most of everything else you are looking for. Sombrero Beach and Bahia Honda are nice beaches - for the Keys. But the reef keeps waves away. For the kids - check out the wake board cable in Marathon on Grassy Key.

Snorkeling, Fishing, Boat rentals, Para sail, Cycling - Pennekamp would be a good experience - never stayed at the condo's you mention - I have stayed a few times at Ocean Pointe Suites and thoroughly enjoyed it - great pool, small beach (note bluewaters comments) - boat ramp, free kayaks, handy for Harry Harris Beach park (see reviews) and also close to Glass bottom boat trips to the reefs (weather permitting) You can fish on a party boat for $40 if that floats your boat at Sailors Choice mm 100

For the airboat - look at www.everglades.com It's in Florida City - an easy stop on the drive from Miami to the Keys. Check out the Everglades National Park while you are there.
