My family is planning four nights in the Miami area this November before flying back to the UK (we have a couple of weeks on Anna Maria Island before we get to Miami). I have a young family (two boys who will be aged 3 and 1) and it looks like Key Biscayne might be a good option to stay. We can't afford the Ritz-Carlton - and wouldn't choose it anyway - but have looked at the Silver Sands. It gets mixed reviews on TA but we don't care about things like decor etc. We just want somewhere that is family-friendly and preferably within walking distance of a couple of places to eat and drink. The fact the the Silver Sands is right on the beach and has a pool is a real bonus. Any comments on the Silver Sands and the surrounding amenities would be appreciated. Thanks.
