Driving from Atlanta to Tampa

We are driving from Atlanta to Tampa and have a couple of days to get to Tampa if there are places of interest to explore. Does anyone have any ideas?

The coast probably is the best area for places of interest but that will take you away from the direct route (I-75) to Tampa.

If you're game, route yourselves through Savannah, GA, and St. Augustine, FL. This will mean driving along I-95. After St. Augustine you can head for I-4 to bring you into Tampa.

Really not much right along 75 between them. Pretty boring stretch of interstate to be honest. I would either spend a day exploring either Atlanta, or Tampa, or as ahHah mentioned, go a little out of your way and see Savannah, or St. Augustine. Both are very nice places to visit, all things being equal, I would opt for Savannah.

Or, spend a day along the Pinellas County coast, once in the Tampa area, Clearwater Beach/St. Pete Beach.
