Got a house and boat for March in Cape Coral. Wondering what spots we can boat to for dinner and drinks? Thanks!

There is a marina at the Lighthouse Waterfront Restaurant...just before crossing the bridge between Ft. Myers and Sanibel. Not exactly "upscale", but definitely in the "nicer" category. Actually, a very pleasant, relaxing place to eat although it can get pretty busy in season.
Edited: 3:04 am, January 09, 2013check out this site, there are many restaurants with boat dockage....also wanted to add Doc Fords Ft Myers Beach and I think Grandma dots Sanibel Marina
You can dock for free downtown Ft. Myers and be within walking distance of several restaurants, shops and museums, including the Edison and Ford Winter Estates. goboatingflorida.com/explore-river-district/
Marinatown Marina in North Ft. Myers has a few restaurants, although I'm not sure how their fees work for smaller boats.

3 Fisherman at The Best Western in North Ft. Myers also has a dock and waterfront dining if you're into fried and greasy fish.
Find your way down to Ft. Myers Beach, under the sky bridge would be Salty Sam'Parrot Key, Doc Ford's, Bonita Bills, Matanzas and Nervous Nellies. All with Docks and go Gulf side to anchor out and come ashore for Gulfshore Cottage, Lani Kai, Wicked Wings, Diamondhead and Beach Pub. I love bar hopping by boat. Live entertainment at most.
Where can you dock for free in downtown Ft Myers?
Thanks,
Mike
