Is it necessary to pay for admission to the Museum to eat at the cafe on the Hagley grounds?

No admission necessary - check in at the Visitor's Center and they will guide you to the cafe, open from 11 to 3 daily.

Trippy Girl is correct. You do not have to pay admission. Go to the Visitor Center and they will give you a cafe pass. You can walk to the cafe (about 1/2 mi) or take the bus.
