Killing Time

We'll be in Greenwich for a 5 p.m. wedding on a Saturday in late September. Since we're coming in the previous day and staying at the Hyatt Regency Greenwich, we're wondering what there might be to do to kill time until the 5 p.m. wedding. Any suggestions?

What do you like to do? There are a number of options.

Not far from The Hyatt is Binney Park (good for a stroll). And a little farther is Greenwich Point, a beach park, and the best park in town, IMHO. For Greenwich Point, you might need to purchase an entrance pass which is $20, I believe.

I would think the first choice destination to kill time would be the primary shopping street in town, Greenwich Avenue, sometimes called Rodeo Drive East. It's great for people watching, but, depending on your wallet, not for shopping. And the southern end of Greenwich Avenue is near Bruce Museum, mentioned already. Also nearby is Greenwich Harbor (good for a stroll), and Bruce Park.

If you want to see some of the out-of-control huge houses, you could drive North Street, Lake Avenue, Round Hill Road.
