For those who may have given up on the season, skiing is great here at Winter Park this week! I'm in town for the Nature Valley U.S. Alpine Championships and have enjoyed some truly great skiing the last few days.
A key right now is time of day. It's super hard packed early, softening around 11 a.m. and holding up pretty well until early afternoon. Even then with some selective run decisions you're fine. Temps have been reasonable and definitely getting well below freezing at night still. Even the hard pack in the morning is very skiable.
Still time to have some fun!
