Beaver Creek vs Keystone condo week July 16-21

I have been looking at VRBO for a condo for our family of 4 including two children in mid 20's. I am having a hard time choosing between one at River Run and the other at Arrowhead Village in the Seasons Lodge. We are interested in white water rafting, light hiking, ? zip line if this is something a 60 year old woman with a weakened knee can do, horseback riding, relaxing and eating good dinner out. I would appreciate some input on these two areas and any other activities you would recommend. Would also appreciate input on companies that offer these service, seems daunting to make a selection. We have white water rafted before so was considering the Numbers rafting vs the Browns Canyon but don't want too rough...suggestions? Thanks so much!!

If the choice was a condo in Beaver Creek village it would be an easier choice. Arrowhead Village is going to be pretty darn quiet. I think you'd have to shuttle to restaurants and activities Check to see if anything is happening at the Vilar Center https://www.vilarpac.org/Online/ great small venue.

There is great light hiking at both places. At Keystone I like taking the lift up and doing the 11/7 hike. Most of the uphill is down via the lift and the views are amazing! You are going to have to drive to zip line and raft from both locations. For dining Beaver Creek wins overall but Keystone's signature restaurants are among the best in the state. keystoneresort.com/restaurants-and-nightlife…

both offer zip and raft packages

I think that if you want ease of letting everyone come and go Keystone. If you can move the condo from Arrowhead to Beaver Creek Village then BC. Not much help am I?

What about Breckenridge..not really locked into anything yet. Glad you told me that Arrowhead Village is too quiet. I'm looking for somewhere with some activity but not crazy...make sense? We like to go out to eat, go to a bar and listen to music, but not big partyers! Was afraid Breckenridge too crowded..Am looking on VRBO for more Beaver Creek properties bur seems a bit more expensive. An outdoor pool is also a must..

Thanks again for your help!!

Yes Breck can get pretty busy but mostly on the weekends. Matt the DE would be able to help with pools.

One thing don't be afraid if you find a place on VRBO that looks good to negotiate, especially of you are staying a full week. Also don't be afraid of CraigsList http://rockies.craigslist.org/vac/ I have seen some of the hotels and management companies put special deals on CL that they don't put out on their web site. I have stayed at some pretty high end chains at bargain prices!

At Keystone many of the River Run locations have an outdoor pool. In summer my biggest thing would be to ask about sq footage. Some condos at RR even in the same building can range from the very tiny to pretty roomy.

when are you coming? This looks nice if the week works

one piece of advice for CL if you go that route make sure you talk with them on the phone, not just email. Eliminates most scams.
