Best places to get amazing pictures?

Coming to Denver in June and love photography. If you were to pick the top 5 places to get amazing pictures where would that be? Please be specific! We're staying in the Highlands Ranch area but will be traveling all over the Denver area for about 16 days. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Might I suggest following this link - https://www.google.com/search? http://tinyurl.com/btwuntl

It's showing images of Denver, many by professional photographers. If you click on the image it usually gives some info about the location.

btw, what types of photography are you interested in doing? Landscapes, architecture, wildlife, people? What kind of equipment do you have? Expensive lenses or the point and shoot type of camera? What kind of transportation do you have? Are you willing to camp out so you will be at the best spot at sunrise to get the best shot or do you want to just get the shots at the most convenient time for you? Willing to hike in or just be at the edge of a road/parking lot? All these things make a huge difference in the ones I would suggest.

Sorry for the link problem. Ignore the google search one and just click on the tiny url (the second one) to make it work. It wouldn't let me edit it again.

City Park it is the iconic picture of Denver, I often see photographers there at sunrise behind the Nature and Science museum facing west.

Confluence Park near the REI late afternoon. More of an action shot of white water rafting.

Staying in Highlands Ranch, you'll be close to Roxborough State Park. It's just to the southwest of that area and contains some amazing red rock formations. …state.co.us/parks/…RoxboroughStatePark.aspx.

Visit Denver Museum of Nature & Science and go to the west atrium. Then take the elevator to the Sky Terrace on the 4th floor. Absolute best view in Denver; you can see west all the way from Pikes Peak in Colorado Springs to Longs Peak in Rocky Mountain National Park. Come right at 9 am though for the best light!

All the various suggestions are great!

For close by, if you are in Highlands Ranch, the view from Daniels Park is good. The Highlands Ranch Mansion is pretty nifty too for pictures.
