Broadmoor

Going for 5 nights in a week. What are the best sites to see close by and best restaurants. Do you have to get very dressed up at all the restaurants? Any tips or favorites in the area would be helpful. At first we thought we only had two days to ourselves since this is a trip my husband won from work. Just found out we may have more time to ourselves.

Pretty comprehensive response on your first post. I would use that as your guide. Do note that there's not much around the Broadmoor. It's in a heavy residential area. Very beautiful but if you want to go to outside restaurants you'll need taxi or rental car - probably 15 minutes or so to other opportunities. For somewhat nearby restaurants, we like Blue Star (10-15 minutes).

Have fun.

The only restaurant you'll need to be dressed up for is Penrose Room. Otherwise, it is relatively casual. As mentioned, there really isn't much within walking distance. You will find plenty to keep busy right on property. Be sure to check the daily schedule to see what is on the agenda. There are often cooking classes, wine tastings, etc...many are complimentary.

That's for the help law girl 75! Not sure if we will be renting a car since it's a company trip, so it's good to know they have activities at the hotel.
