Hello,
I would book a place in Frisco where there are lots of family friendly activities to do. Pick a place with a nice clubhouse with a pool etc and the kids will be busy each night after a day filled with outdoorsy activities.
The adventure park in Frisco is fun (tubing). There is a free sledding hill right next to it. The Southern side of town has easy fun trails, one of which goes to Rainbow lake. Perfect snowshoeing outing with the kids. Bring lunch, let the kids have fun on the frozen lake; look for the lizard rock (that is what my kids call it). From Frisco, you can drive to Loveland Ski area (20 minutes) and enjoy the beginner hill at the Valley for $27/child. It isn't crowded. You can park right by the lodge for free. Once they are comfortable on the green run, take the free shuttle to Loveland basin (a 5 minute ride) and do the easy greens there.
Thanks so much great info!
