About Snow Possibility & Hotel Recommendation

I, my husband and my eight year-old daughter are flying to Breckenridge March 6th to "see snow" as my daughter hasn't seen it yet. Skiing will be on the agenda but not every day as we are there for five days and will want to do something besides that. Is there ice-skating as well? Is there a good chance we'll see "real" snow (not man-made)? I know that you cannot predict such a thing but I'm a bit worried that we may not see it. Also, what hotels or b&bs are recommended for a fairly low budget that are family-friendly? I thought a b&b would add to the experience but may be too "laid-back" for a child. Any suggestions would be helpful and very much appreciated. Thank you.

Are you driving out? If so drive over to Keystone for skating. They have the largest outdoor maintained ice skating in the USA.

You all might enjoy the tubing at Keystone too.

You are going to see real snow.

We just returned. We stayed at The Village (for the 4th time). As far as i'm concerned it's the best location for a family. You have ski school just outside the condo as well as Main Street for eateries and shopping.
