Any recommendations for a fun place to celebrate New Years in Beaver Creek? We have no kids and a group of 8. We are looking for a dress up recommendation and also a locals favorite that is more casual with live music. All input is greatly appreciated.
The only places which will have live music on NYE are probably Splendido and Grouse Mountain Grill, both dressy. If you want more of a casual party atmosphere I am affraid you'll have to hit Avon, Edwards or head into Vail (about 10 min. away) Most restaurants have 2 seatings on NYE & rezzies are recommended. Call the concierge at The Park Hyatt and ask if they know who's offering what, where: 970-949-1234 or check the Vail Daily (our local newspaper available on-line)
We are looking for a similar recommendation. What about this big celebration at the Dobson Arena in Vail? We have a group of 6, all in our 20's, no kids.

I'm not sure if Crazy Mountain Brewery is having a New Year's party, but they are having an Ugly Sweater Party on the 28th, great beer, very laid back, expect to be greeted by at least 3 dogs. http://crazymountainbrewery.com/whats-new
Vail will be more exciting for NYE, Dobson will be a big bash, Bol usually has one too. Check the e-edition of the the paper, www.vaildaily.com for local ads.
