We're coming out next summer for a guitar festival. We stayed in

Crystal Bay last summer (loved the peace and quiet). This year the conference is in Sqauw Valley. We love mountain vistas and private places. Where should I start looking?

Also, I'd love some suggestions on day trips. We'll have a car and it will probably be just the two of us.
